Dear Online Entrepreneur,

If you're not aware of what I am about to reveal to you in this brief report, then you've been missing out on one of the most incredible, no cost, & wildly effective techniques to promote your online business since writing for publicity. And the chances are very high... that whilst you've been missing out for whatever reason... your competitors have been milking it three ways from Sunday, for months on end.

You see there is a little known (and definitely under utilized) website marketing technique that a lot of smart web marketers have been quietly taking advantage of since 2007 to...

  • Establish themselves as an immediate authority in their niche industry; to an information hungry user base of over 60+ million internet savvy prospects. These potential customers are looking for YOUR information and solutions to their problems... right now... AND... are actively asking for YOUR help.
  • Drive more targeted (warmed up & ready to buy) prospects to their websites, to convert into newsletter readers, leads & paying customers.
  • Increase their search engine rankings by creating more "theme relevant" incoming links to their websites, from one absolute Goliath of an authority website.
  • Gaining all of these benefits for the same one off work effort, and all at completely no cost...

What I'm referring to here is taking advantage the Yahoo Answers service from a website marketing perspective.

~~~~~
If you're already familiar with this technique and simply want to find out about a new, unique, never before seen software application that will automate 99% of your Yahoo Answers marketing, click here to jump there now. Otherwise, continue reading for the full monty on how you can begin using the technique today...
~~~~~

In the past year Yahoo Answers has become an extremely popular section of the overall group of Yahoo properties.

In its basic sense it's essentially a massive forum of internet users posing questions on every topic imaginable, where other users are then able to provide answers to those questions. Answers are rated based on how helpful they were, and each member builds reputation points related to this. Check out the Yahoo Answers point scoring system here

It's attracting hundreds of thousands of unique visitors every day, visitors looking for very specific information. Information that you can provide them with. I guarantee no matter what niche you're in, people are looking for answers to questions related to that niche. The fact that these people are actually sticking their hands up and shouting "I need help with this!" makes them some of the most targeted prospects you will find online.

Further, many of the actual question & answers "threads" are ranking extremely well in the search engines for longer tailed keyword terms. You may have noticed this yourself.

Here is an example in Google - Best Dog For An Apartment

Here is the same example in MSN - Best Dog For An Apartment

And again on Yahoo - Best Dog For An Apartment

You will notice there is a Question / Answer thread from Yahoo Answers ranking in the top 10 positions, in all 3 major search engines above. There are countless examples like this across the board.

Yahoo is also continually pushing the Answers service out there.

Just last week I noticed a Yahoo billboard down "Courtney Place" (the main entertainment drag here in Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand) advertising Yahoo Answers. I'd had a few drinks so had to do a double take, but sure enough, the billboard was promoting the Answers service directly.

Recently Telecom New Zealand also signed a deal to use Yahoo's portal and mail services. It was heavily promoting the fact that this gives customers better access to additional services, you guessed it, like Yahoo Answers. We're talking the largest telecom in NZ, with millions of customers.

Check this out; currently there are over 27 million pages indexed in Google for the Yahoo Answers section alone.

"According to reports published late last year, Yahoo Answers had 96.1% of the online ‘questions and answers’ site type traffic. This worked out to be over 47 times more visitor traffic than their nearest competitors. The report published by HitWise, measured Yahoo Answers against other ‘question and answer’ type websites, and the results also showed that Yahoo Answers was ranked the 100th most visited domain against over 500,000 other websites tracked by HitWise. The site was 2nd in the Education - Reference category."

There's no question that it's a powerhouse of activity at the moment, and only growing more popular by the day.

So here's the basic website marketing technique...

Answering in detail, questions people pose, related to your niche industry, on a regular basis.

The benefits are three fold...

1) Tapping into a highly responsive user base by establishing yourself as a "helpful" authority in your industry. The help you give pre-sells all people who read the question & answer thread - not just the original person that asked the question. Those people then go on to visit your website (see the benefit below).

2) Driving more targeted visitors and potential customers to your website, by ethically referencing it in the answers that you leave. This will also have a positive impact on your search engine rankings, adding greater theme relevancy to your overall site. If you use Google Analytics (or a similar statistical analysis program) you will see that people arriving at your site from the Yahoo Answers section have a very low bounce rate. That means they actually stick around to find out more about you and what you have to offer... you've already pre-sold them on the fact that you provide quality information & help.

3) Because many of the individual Answers pages are ranking well in the major search engines, you will pull more people in through the marketing funnel you're creating via the answers you leave, including people who don't use the Answers service directly (allowing your one time effort to reach a much larger audience). For example, those people searching on Google, MSN or Yahoo for specific keyword terms. You have seen an example of this already. In addition, Yahoo Answers content is being syndicated on thousands of other websites online.

This is one of the largest archives of question/answer specific information online full stop. It really is taking advantage of the whole web 2.0 trend. So now you know what you need to be doing...

Recommended Focus Time & Budgeting

This is one of those techniques (much like blog comment posting) that can prove to be time intensive if you get too carried away with it. The time you commit to it should be reflective of your goals and budget. If you lack the time personally, you should seriously consider outsourcing the task to a staff member, intern, student, or freelancer. Obviously a "per-pay-answer completed" arrangement is best here.

I would suggest you set a goal to answer a minimum of two questions per day, for a period of 3 months.

This will take approximately 5-10 minutes per day depending on the amount of information you provide in your answers. Over the period of just 3 months, that will add up to 120 individual references to your website which are permanently archived in one of Yahoo's most popular sections & syndicated on thousands of other websites.

This will have an amazing accumulative effective on the unique visitors that appear at your website over time.

Continuing on from that would only be recommended based on your own evaluation of the results obtained (but I have yet to hear of anything other than a positive outcomes from people seriously implementing this technique as a permanent part of their overall website marketing strategy). In terms of outsourcing, if you're paying $5-$10 per answered question, the total investment would range between $600-$1,200.

(Calculations: 5 working days x 2 questions answered per day = 10 per week. 10 questions per week x 4 weeks = 40. Multiply by 3 for 3 months = 120 answers.)

What You Can Expect

The rewards you can expect to see when using this technique are directly proportional to the time you invest in using it. Use it once or twice and you will not see much impact at all. Remember, it's the accumulative effect over time that produces results. Of course, that also goes for pretty much all website marketing techniques these days.

One marketer I know of has stated in his private marketing forum that he answers on average 150-200 questions a day, using other peoples content in his Answers, and it barely interrupts the flow of his normal work day! On top of that, several of his Yahoo Answers account have a "best answer rating" of over 60%!

That might be boarding on the slightly obsessive, but obviously he has stumbled onto a good thing and I know for a fact he is profiting tremendously for his efforts. Here is a recent press release on the topic (although not related to the guy I've just mentioned)...

Recent Press Release:

A majority of mortgage consumers do research online before choosing a mortgage product and mortgage company. Reaching those in the "research" phase is critical to influencing potential customers. That's why Quicken Loans saw a huge opportunity available with the launch of Yahoo! Answers and began putting together a program to become active in the Answers community; we wanted to provide solid and professional advice to people with mortgage-related questions.

We created the "Home Loan Guru" profile and began answering questions in March 2007.

We have one rule: Answer the question. Don't tell them how great Quicken Loans is. Don't tell them how they will benefit from our products. Don't tell them anything except what they ask.

And it's worked.

Yahoo! recently picked Quicken Loans as one of its first "Knowledge Partners" in the Answers' Real Estate and Renting category. This cemented Quicken Loans as a recommended and trusted source of information about mortgages, real estate and finance.

Since we launched on March 14, 2007, our answers to date have a 75% best answer rate. To our surprise, our profile has gotten zero negative feedback from the Answers community. We assumed some people would be offended at corporate participation in Answers, however any feedback we've gotten from the community has been positive.

What's most surprising? We've had a decent number of visitors from Yahoo! Answers to our website (over 400 as of this writing) with 18 actual leads (mortgage applications). We consider this a complete bonus. Our goal is strictly providing consumers with quality and valuable information, with branding and influence as a secondary benefit. Actual mortgage applications are something we didn't even consider when we created our campaign, but we will gladly take them.

The best part of this entire campaign? It's completely free!

Here is another independent example of results that have been achieved...

"Let’s face it. Yahoo sucks. I get only a light trickle of traffic from them compared to the avalanche of traffic I get from Google. BUT, one thing I’ve discovered is that Yahoo Answers actually delivers more visitors AND higher quality traffic (low bounce rates). To get traffic form Yahoo Answers, just get out there and answer questions about topics in your niche... Continued Here (includes screenshot of stats).

There are MANY more examples like this that can be found online (I don't endorse the above external websites and have only referenced them here to give you a complete unbiased picture), and many threads in marketing related discussion forums that reflect similar findings above.

Which in itself presents some issues...

Maximizing Your Results

As this technique becomes more widely known and used by webmasters, especially those who are just after a quick buzz to see their web statistics spike, the issue of spam is becoming more of a problem.

And unless you're already a very large and "known identity" that would make a prime candidate for the Yahoo Knowledge Partners program, you're simply going to have to signup for a normal user account and "play nicely" based on the knowledge in this report. That basically means everyone reading this, and little old me too!

That's why the number one tip when using this technique is to ensure you always provide quality answers.

Don't just leave a link to your site, you'll have it marked as spam and chances are your account will be deleted.

You're just wasting your time if you go down that route. Even as the spam issue grows over time, if you lay down a solid answer ethic now, you will be able to continue to see long term results. See, here's the real deal...

You need to establish yourself as a positive and useful contributor from day one.

This can clearly be seen by everyone in the community. All answers you leave can be rated by the community based on a quality score. You also work towards obtaining a "best answer rate". This is determined (as a percentage) by the questions you have answered in total, and the number of those selected by the people that posed the original questions, as the "best answer", out of all other answers provided.

The better your "Best Answer" percentage, the more respect you obtain in the community, the more attention people will pay to all future answers you post... AND... you'll then be able to reference your own websites more often without getting flamed.

The Answers community are clued up as to what is spam, what's not, who provides value and who doesn't. So simply answering a question to just drop a link, or providing information that doesn't even apply to the original question is going to waste your time. If you think you might able to provide anything less than a reasonable answer and get away with it, block your ears (or rather put your eye beepers on) and check out this blog post.

Here are a few critical tips to follow to maximize your results when using this technique..

  • Always provide quality answers. Yes, I've mentioned it again.
  • Be the first to answer a question whenever possible (more details below). You will receive the most overall exposure.
  • Whenever possible, always answer the question directly within the answer itself. You can leave a link back to your website at the end that offers further information on the subject, even if the question has already been answered in detail.
  • Don't only reference your own website. Provide references to other sources as well, but only if they will enhance the actual answer.
  • Don't always include a link. This might seem counter productive but it's not. You essentially need to build up a reputation over time as your answers are scored on quality & detail by the Yahoo Answers user base. Always including a link to your site (or others) will push opinion towards the fact that you're there simply trying to promote your website and wares.
  • Consider not even linking back to your site until you have a decent "Best Answer" rating, and have 10 or more answers under your belt. Then consider only leaving links on every second, third, or forth answer you post.
  • Never include a link to your website if you get the "this is a bit spammy" little voice in your head. Yes, we all get that now and then. Ignore the question and move on.
  • Ensure your answer is 99% detailed explanation, and 1% external references (if you even need to reference anything externally at all that is).
  • Consider creating a new Yahoo account for this sole purpose. This is "just in case" you inadvertently join the dark side. You don't want to have your primary account banned. Of course this wont apply to anyone reading this (see the first tip again). You might also want to create different Yahoo Answer Accounts for different niche markets if you're active in several industries.
  • Where possible, use answers that you already have. You may have written an article on the subject already, you may have found an article somewhere else. There is no problem using that content as your answer, assuming it actually does answer the question posed.
  • Ask a few questions now and then. If you have questions of your own, related to absolutely anything, go ahead and ask them. This will help to ensure you're account is not completely one-sided - again a potential negative flag showing the community you're only there to provide answers and muster new traffic and leads. Asking your own questions will show you're an active member of the community on both sides. It's also a great way to have other people do research for you at no cost - think about that when you have a bit of writers block the next time you sit down to write your newsletter or blog post ;-0
  • Whenever possible include the keyword terms you're trying to increase your own websites rankings for, within the answer itself. This will pass "theme relevancy" to your primary website if you link back to it in this specific answer. Longer tailed keyword terms will also produce better results here.

...at the end of the day, the above tips are really just common sense. They are very similar to discussion forum etiquette (and newsgroups if anyone is old enough to remember those). However they serve as an important set of guidelines to follow, and can be passed onto (and expanded with more specific details) to any outsourcer you decide to use if you go down that route. This will ensure you're both on the same playing field and have the same expectations.

Side Note: Answers is also a great tool to get new ideas to write about for your own newsletters / information products / reports etc. And having said that, there is no reason why you can't actually use your answer, and the original question, as core content for your actual newsletter. You're killing two birds with one stone and really maximizing your investment when using this technique.

How To Find Questions Related To Your Niche

This process is pretty simple.

You can either dive into the category structure located down the right hand side of the main Answers website and find the most appropriate sub-category within your industry (the more specific the better otherwise you'll end up wading through a lot of totally irrelevant questions), or do a keyword specific search using the search feature.

You should do both. You should also start using specific keyword terms related to your niche, and then work backwards from there, using more general keywords related to your niche. This will allow you to find a greater volume of relevant questions to attack.

The only trouble when using this technique is that more often than not, the Questions you will find already have an answer. This happens extremely quickly due to the popularity of the Answers site. That doesn't mean you can't contribute, but to obtain maximum advantage when using the technique, you really need to be one of the first, if not the first, to provide a detailed answer.

The first answer posted is always going to be the most commonly read by ALL people viewing that thread, both immediately and into the future when it becomes archived.

It's just makes sense that after viewing the question posed, all subsequent readers are going to read the first answer to see if it actually answered the question. Why read 20 different answers if the first covers it?

So you should focus on questions that have yet to be answered (or at least have yet to have a best answer selected) and continually monitor your category and keyword terms for such "open" questions.

Of course, you don't want to be sitting at your computer refreshing the Answers page every few minutes all day long. That just isn't feasible so here's how to automate that...

Just before Christmas 2007, I designed a new, and totally unique software application called AnswerSniper...

What is AnswerSniper?

AnswerSniper offers you a way to tap directly into Yahoo Answers' 60+ Million targeted prospects by giving you the advantage of being the first to answer potential customers questions. This establishes your credibility as an authority in your niche market, pulls warmed up ready to buy visitors to your website to convert into sales, and leaves valuable backlinks to your website to boost your search engine rankings... all at the same time.

This totally unique, never before seen software application will automate 99% of your Yahoo Answers marketing.

All you need to do is load the keyword terms you wish to monitor into AnswerSniper. The moment a new question is posted related to those terms, you will be notified. This gives you the opportunity to be the first to answer the question, giving you maximum exposure on Yahoo Answers and minimizing your time using this technique. There is nothing like this currently available, set it up once, leave it running on your computer in the background and it will do everything for you... except answering the actual questions of course... but almost (see below);

It will give you the first mover advantage in becoming a Heavy Hitting Authority Figure on Yahoo Answers & leave your competitors wondering how on earth you're always first to leave an answer on the same questions they're trying to monitor and answer manually...

"Duncan, Answer Sniper honestly has been the best Yahoo Answers program I've used to date. I am a lazy person, and logging into the YA site every day to search for keywords was too much of a hassle for me. So I started trying out a few programs that would help me keep on top of YA.

Trust me when I say this, it is the best out there. I tried a PHP script, but it was only half of what I wanted, and ended up not working within a few months. I tried the program (will remain unnamed) that you can use to spam Yahoo with multiple accounts for one keyword. It seemed like a great idea, but the members catch on fast to a general Q&A or lame account names. I gave up on YA after I was unsuccessful in converting that much traffic.

A few months later I found your Answer Sniper, and my Yahoo posting started up again. Like I said, I’m lazy, and tend to not weigh in the benefits of doing things “the old fashioned way.”

Answer Sniper gives me the upper hand over all of the competition that is answering, because it notifies me on ANY new question for ANY keyword I want! I can be the first to answer questions across the board. This in turn helped me establish authority in one niche with only one week’s worth of using the program. If I didn’t have your software, I would have stopped using Yahoo Answers altogether, and lost out on a lot of sales and list members.

Duncan, THANKS! You have saved my Yahoo posting."

Tim Elfelt - http://www.timelfelt.com

Here are just a few of the powerful features of AnswerSniper;

  • Load the niche keyword terms you wish to use, to search for new (and existing) questions on the Yahoo Answers website, into the software.

  • Select to subscribe to any of those search terms and be notified via desktop notification and/or optional SMS the moment any new question is posted related to those terms.

  • Configure AnswerSniper to check Yahoo Answers at the time interval of your choice, for any new questions available on the subscribed keyword terms. The lower this value, the greater the chance you will have to be the first person to leave an answer.

  • Save your results - rather than subscribing to the keyword terms, you can simply run a search & save the list of results, so you can come back at a later time, view the questions that interest you and post answers.

  • Filter questions via the amount of answers already posted by other marketers. This will allow you to prioritize, in seconds, those questions that should receive your immediate attention. The less answers already posted to the question the better.

  • Keep an archived reference of all questions answered (and their locations) so at any time you can go back and review your history.

  • Extremely Powerful - AnswerSniper will provide you with numerous hotlinks to existing information depositories based on your keyword terms, giving you all of the information you need to answer the question being posed at your finger tips. You then simply need to collate, rewrite, and post the information as your own unique answer. Great for you, and for outsourced workers that have limited knowledge of your industry.

  • The professional version of AnswerSniper allows you to define an unlimited number of different projects if you have numerous websites in different niche industries, ensuring everything remains tightly focused and organized. (The lite version only supports one project).

  • You can also use different Yahoo Answers profiles and assign them to different campaigns. Once configured the software will login to the appropriate account and take care of everything automatically, you simply need to focus on answering the questions. (The lite version only supports one Yahoo Answers account / profile).

  • AnswerSniper is such a complete piece of kit that once you begin using it, you won't even need to visit the Yahoo Answers website ever again... unless you want to of course.

  • And much, much more...

Recall back to the guy I mentioned that answers, on average, 150-200 questions a day, using other peoples content in his answers, and it barely interrupts the flow of his normal work day?

What I didn't mention was that he also has over 50 different Yahoo Answers accounts related to his individual niche markets. You guessed it, he can maintain this level of output because all of his keyword monitoring, different account management, and respective websites assigned to be promoted via those accounts... are being handled automatically via AnswerSniper... all he does is posts his answers when the software tells him to!

Hi Duncan,

I've been using Answer Sniper ever since I downloaded it! I had been manually signing in to Yahoo Answers, clicking through all the question topic areas and then deciding on a question to answer. With Answer Sniper, I simply have to tell Sniper what keywords to monitor and every 10 minutes it prompts me with new, targeted questions to answer. Now I can spend more time answering questions and my "best answer" ratio is over 35%! I love this software. Web 2.0 is amazing, but it can often be quite time consuming participating in all the Web 2.0 properties. Answer Sniper automates the mundane and saves me precious time.

Happy Sniping,

Dave Turo-Shields

...Again, there is nothing like this software currently available on the market. You can check out the user manual with screen shots here. There is also a video walkthrough here if you're happy to put up with the kiwi accent ;-0

It is going to save you time, money, and give you an unfair advantage when it comes to exploiting the huge benefits of Yahoo Answers from a website marketing perspective. It's now also available for immediate download so you can put it to work for you within the next few minutes...

Hey Duncan,

Already knowing the power of Yahoo Answers, I had been using a script for awhile before your AnswerSniper software came out. What can I say that you have not already heard before? It's plain Awesome! Being able to establish authoritative Answer figures is an absolute must.

The more authority you can show by answering questions, the more likely people will take you seriously. This in turn leads to more traffic back to your sites, more list members and ultimately more sales. I'll be honest with you. If Answer Sniper was not available, I would have stopped a long time ago. The speed at which you can establish yourself in niches and answer questions, not to mention being the first gives me the upper hand on receiving the most exposure.

Thanks for the software Duncan!

Ruck - http://www.cashtactics.net

NOTE: The associated price is for one software license, which will only work on one computer. In the advent of a refund being requested, the associate license will be revoked and the application will no longer work on your computer. This is a Windows based software application that will only work in a windows based environment. We are in no way associated with Yahoo Inc or the Yahoo Answers service.

I hope you've have enjoyed reading this special report.
